Someone I know has had a hole appear next to a graden pond and thismorning she has seen a polecat/ferrett/ mink type animal scurry into it.

She is now concerned for the safety of her daughter whos 4.

This is in a residential area.

How would you go about dealing with this unwanted vistor ?

I havent seen the animal myself. And no known water in the area.

Cheers :good:

If you are going to use a trap of any sort I would advise a cage trap. At least if you did by any chance trap something that turned out to ba e "protected species" it can then be re-released without any harm being done while you are trying to trap what sounds like it "might" be a mink!

sounds like a mink, being close to the water etc, as said, use a sprung door cage trap, with meat/fish bait. then at least you can identify anything caught, before dispatching or releasing it, whichever one

BB
