Salop Matt
Someone I know has had a hole appear next to a graden pond and thismorning she has seen a polecat/ferrett/ mink type animal scurry into it. She is now concerned for the safety of her daughter whos 4. This is in a residential area. How would you go about dealing with this unwanted vistor ? I havent seen the animal myself. And no known water in the area. Cheers

al4x
as said fenn trap, but on a side issue is there any protection offered to polecats legal wise? as you will know if you have them round gamebirds they can be as bad or even worse than foxes
jonevo
before placing any traps I would personally get it identified.before the thought of using a fenn or any other type of trap
Frenchieboy
If you are going to use a trap of any sort I would advise a cage trap. At least if you did by any chance trap something that turned out to ba e "protected species" it can then be re-released without any harm being done while you are trying to trap what sounds like it "might" be a mink!
