Luckyshot
Had a look out last night on one of the horse paddocks that i shoot as the owner had taken her best horses to a show this weekend meaning I could use the HMR instead of the 22. This made life alot easier for me as it meant I could just lay and wait for them to come out at the top of the field whilst I was laying on the stable roof. All of these shots were taken around the 100yrd mark shooting prone from the bipod 14 headshots and 1 body shot ******* rabbit just wouldnt turn round. Not a bad way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday night seeing how the weather was perfect for the HMR no wind at all and it was pitch black makes lamping so much easier anyhow here is the final bag. Luckyshot
well done and goodshootin.just a matter of interest if you had to choose would it be the hmr or the .22lr for the rabbits mate It all depends each situation is different but personally I prefer to use the HMR as if I need to take a body shot which I had to last night I know the rabbit will be dead within a few seconds or less unlike with the 22 which sometimes will just wound them. This is just my personal opinion and Im not saying that it happens like that every time.

Frenchieboy
Great shooting Luckyshot, well done. I have to agree with you about the 17HMR being a great tool for rabbits even if there are times when the .22LR will do a better job. The good old 17HMR is (In my opinion) a brilliant vermin control tool!
