JBS
Should i be getting worried about my working cocker pup not having her first season? She's 18 months old now and as far as i'm aware hasn't had a season, is it possible that i just missed it? Thanks
al4x
its possible and she may also be late developing, my GWP was nearly 2 before she had her first one and has been roughly each 6 months since, i'd not worry yet

Gun & Dog
My cocker was 20 months until her first season and her mother was the same. It's quite common in some of the family lines that until they have their first litter that they are very irregular. Hope this puts your mind at rest
WGD
Nothing to worry about it, it's also perfectly possible she had a very light first and you missed it (easy done).
JBS
Thanks for the replys it's put my mind at ease, but what if I don't see any thing for another six months? Should I start to worry then?
activeviii
worry about it when it dosent happen, not IF it doesnt happen else you'll be forever worried and dog will pick up on it. NOTE TO SELF........ take a leaf out me own book..... Phil

al4x
banned to the kitchen at the moment, all solid floor and just vax it once a day! Banned from getting on my lap on the sofa so she is sulking though!
Elby
I wouldn't worry about it. My springer showed no signs of having a season ever. It wasn't until my dog nailed her that we knew she was in season. If it really bothers you wait until one of your mates bitches are in season and stick yours in with her, quite often that will bring them in.
