Hucky
2 hours to get there, 3 hours to get home - still, we had another nice day. Bought myself plus eldest a pair of gortex trousers each for beating - new German army surplus for £20 each from Soldier of Fortune - looking forward to being dry and warm this year ! Couldn't find any mega bargins, but got a better idea of what to save up for next. Had to laugh at lads carrying slabs of cartridges - hope they got them cheap ! Paladin
I think the price of the stalls went up again this year, so some had a smaller stand and some did'nt show at all! Tomorow might be a better day for the bargains, when they try to maximise their takings  Paladin
ade wills
couldn,t negotiate a good deal on winchester x3 with any dealers today ,advise to anybody who hasn,t been before is haggle on the prices ,(best quote of the day came from a guy doing custom stocks ,i asked the question do you do a stock for cz 452 ,his answer was if he had a tenner for every one who asked that he would be a millionare, well do ya i asked ? ,don't think they would be any call for em was his reply not the sharpest knife in the drawer me thinks! Dempy
I must say and I am sorry if I offend anybody here who does it, but why do people insist on walikng round these shows with dogs! I can understad the dogs that are being worked there on the day but why take the others??? It was very very busy there today and I got fed up with being tripped up by dogs and nearly knocked over by people turning around and forgetting the huge rucksack on their back! Other than that a good show

Salop Matt
I went saturday and was pleased with my purchases although there was so much more i wanted to buy but ran out of time ! I was one who had my dogs with me and my only irritation on the day was screaming kids and spolit bratts and the bad parenting that followed, I would rather have twice as many dogs there and no kids under 14 ! That was one of the things that really bugged me, the 12 year old chavs looking at an ultra air rilfe saying 'is that a shotgun that be well mint if it was' I heard some one shouting at there kid 'STOP WHINGING'
HDAV
i went and had a good day out. The stuff on the napier stand was definately cheaper than on the web. would go again next year and bring the family. The protector 2 i bought for £75 on ebay was £90 on the stand but cheaper than SRP. Carts weren't cheap have found them much cheaper at the clay ground i went to today £133 for 1000 Fibre 28g 7.5 £145 was cheapest i saw at the show and no 3 mile walk back to the car! Very disappointed with GMK who had no Franchi on the stand at all, and Blaser who didn't have the L/H F3! Prices seemed high for most of the secondhand guns. Dave66
Bought some cider from the Gwatkins Cider & Perry stall, looks like I will have a bad head in the morning, but it is good stuff, nice and cloudy. Met up with a mate who bought some realtree car mats, he must get the prize for the most useless impulse purchase

Kes
Went today with son, cartridge prices higher than elsewhere, no night vision. It cost less in diesel to get there than for one of us to get in. It felt jaded and as with other shows run by this group, an obvious money making business. The show is a special event but needs to be run by proper shooting people, as it used to be. This would mean it would be more relevant, reasonably priced, offer genuine bargains and not charge the earth for pitches. Interesting to note that there were a number of arrests of the Chav type, attempting to steal guns from gunmakers row ! How stupid can you get? I'll be trying Tabley next year, sadly.
