Frenchieboy
We went and picked up a "new family member" yesterday that needed rehoming, (We are far too soft like that) Here are a few photos of him! Shadow is about 3 years old and said to be a cross between a Labradore and a Whitppet so does that make him a Labradippet or a Whipadore, any suggestions please? He is quite obedient and knows Sit, Down, Stay etc, and is excellent at retrieving and "hunting by nose". Shadow can be a little demanding and loves to retrieve a ball or ony other thing that he is encouraged to find and fetch, the only problem is that he will insist on literally throwing it on to your lap exery time. (I'm not sure how the wife will react to a dead rabbit being thrown on to her lap, there could be something said about that!) The people that we got him from said that he was about 18 inches at the shoulder when we spoke over the phone but on measureing him he is more like 23 inch at the shoulder. He is just a little slimmer than I would expect a full Labradore to be but apart from that he is proportioned and configured exactly the same as any full Labradore. Have a look please guys and I would welcome any constructive comments please. Edit: Just a quick note to add that Shadow is Fully Innoculated, Microchipped, "Neutered" and seems to be in quite good condition both physically and mentally, and shows quite a lot of good potential for training as a working dog! Frenchieboy
Just to help you get a proper idea of the size of Shadow here he is trying to annoy the wife! He had just thrown the ball up to her and was waiting for her to play with him! Edited September 19, 2010 by Frenchieboy

kent
Lab cross Greyhounds are termed Herring gut in some parts i belive. That might make the start of a good line of Lurchers as it aint too heavy boned from the appearance
Frenchieboy
Make a good lamping companion  That is a good strong possibility but I have yet to try him and make sure that he is 100% stock steady! One thing that I have no time whatsoever for is a dog that looks like it wants to worry stock!

Frenchieboy
nice looking dog as for breed mongrel fits Too true Steve but "Mongrel" doesn't sound half as interesting as a "Labrawhippet" or a "Whipadore" does it mate? Anyway calling my dog a mongrel would make it sound "Common"!
