After shooting nothing but registered sporting shoots for years now i'm getting a bit fed up with samey targets, rising entry fees, poor payouts and a general lack of interest or effort by some grounds,it seems once they've got your money they're not bothered

I'm a bit out of touch with the good old sunday morning club/open shoot, you know the type that puts the fun back into shooting with a few resonable targets and makes you feel that you're getting value for money. After all that's what it's supposed to be about ;) Any recommendations ??

Maybe i'm just getting old, but i'm not old enough to shoot dtl before anyone suggests that :yes::yes:

Have a look up at Marne - 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. 60 sporting on most weeks over 6 stands - £10 members, £12 non-members. There is occasionally 100 birds on over 10 stands for £16. It's worth a look up if you want to try somewhere new

Another, which I am yet to visit myself, is JC Marsh at Stockton. I've heard very good things about this one - £25 for 100 sporting (inc food and tea/coffee)

Lupton on Saturdays 100 sporting with some cracking targets.£17 fibre wad. Marne like Paul says . Thimbleby on Sundays good targets always 100 birds some testing and not too pricey. Greystone woods above Asquith near Ilkley on Saturdays usually 50 bird sporting good crowd. If i can think of more i will post them up. from Auntie
