Tam Posted October 2, 2010 Report Share Posted October 2, 2010 Most of the birds moved off down river this morning :( but a couple of skein's moved off upstream but wide this lucky chap was in a small flight of about 25, approached low & crossed about 40 yards again I had another 2 shots up the spout but was happy with one for the pot & even happier after humphing it a mile back to the car The old dog had his work cut out hauling it up the mud & through the reeds (had to help him up the sea wall though) but never once doubted his ability The Goose was nearly the same size as him (pics on camera phone) I can here some more Boss!!! I was on the foreshore late afternoon/evening....LOTS of Pinkies...:( Early morning till mid afternoon was driven Fox shooting , a fantastic day out...watching/listening to the Beagles work is like an art form... We were also told to take any Bucks that came out, but only saw two and too far away........plenty hinds tho...saw one big one jump about 15 foot in the air over a deer fence........never seen the like in my life...
