COACH
It`s a swelling of the stock on the underside of your pistol grip hand in the chequering area. It helps some people grip the gun better especially those with large hands. Marmite you might say, you either love them or you hate them. I hate them. gixer1
I had one on a rizzini i had and loved it, wish i'd never sold the gun! loved the gun i replaced it with (a 20 gauge lincoln) but it never felt the same, also wish i had looked into a palm swell stock when i bought my beretta - although i'm not even sure they do them on a beretta do they? (without spending a gazillion extra pounds!) Regards, Gixer

Paddy Galore!
prefer it more on a rifle, shotguns need to be moved about quickly and it doesn't always suit.
