Dunkield
I was at Short Siberia on Saturday, the bad news was they were re-furbing all the lanes, so the 200yard part was closed, but the good news is they will be finished by now and are a lot more user friendly than the old ones
flash
he stu i went to siberia yesterday and had the same probem, they moved the 100 yrd across infront of 200, 200 got moved to century, couldnt get on to siberia so spent the morning on the zero range, getting the lee enfield set up. it was meant to be finished by friday but contractors screwed up. cheers flash
dunganick
Okay i finally worked out how to upload a spread sheet to the net. http://www.esnips.com/web/DunganicksBusinessFiles Just download the file called Bisley I have 17 people at the moment for the rifles and i need 20 to break even. So those of you who emailed me saying you had a friend who wanted to come..... well if i havent PM'd you it never arrived, so you will need to sort that out amoungst yourselves. All Clay deposits i have have been sent to Bisley Clay ground. I have been in contact with the Airgun people, unfortuantly they cannot cater for us due to lack of staff, however the chap i spoke to has put me in contact with another organisation which may be able to organise something for us. So i will keep you posted with what comes of that. On another note i need some peoples opinions of what would be best regarding possibly hiring a third range (another 100yrds). As i feel two ranges (one of them 200yrds) between potentially 20 shooters is probably not quite enough? or is it? Let me know what you think. Nick Like most I'm down for both Rifle and clays ..............What are the Time scales for both as I feel that will be our enemy during the day . IMO 20 shooters between 2 ranges if it's for a morning ( 4 HRS ) is'nt enough that is unless it's booked for the day and like myself some not all go off and do some clays

We are even using the clay ground nearest the rifle range we are on and not the one which is over by 1000yards.
deadeye ive
Not sure if i'm getting this correct .............Clays is for 1 hr only (100 bird sporting ) ............Is'nt the group very large Nick if that's the case ?
dunganick
Not sure if i'm getting this correct .............Clays is for 1 hr only (100 bird sporting ) ............Is'nt the group very large Nick if that's the case ? we are in teams of 4/5 with a trapper/instructor type person we will all go our seperate ways. Although they can organise for a comp for 50 of your 100 birds, which might be worth a laugh.
Dunkield
Nick, I would have thought you would need at least 2 x 100 ranges and 2 x 200 (or 2 x 100 and 1 x 200 depending on demand) ranges if every one wants to have a go, or seriously limit the time they have - might be best to do poll or similar? I am not that bothered about loads of rifle shooting as I can do that anytime I want, but I will have a gun ther for people to have go with if they want/or haven't shot one before. It's more a of a social to me but others may have more definite views on what they want to do?
flash
how about the electronic 300 yrds or century, i may be going there this weekend so i can see about its value for money. cheers flash
dunganick
Okay i will do the maths later but i think if 20 people give up the £4.80 which i was going to return on the day if you turn up, then i can probably go ahead and book another 100yard without any extra (or much) money.
dunganick
okay if the 20 people who i need to pay desposits (or in 17 peoples cases have) were willing to loose their £4.80 which i had previously planned to return on the day as an incentive to turn up, then i could book 1 more 100yard lane and 1 more 200yard lane that would only put me £8 out of pocket, which im sure we can cover between us. However i would need 20 people to say its ok, otherwise i would be taking their money if you see what i mean. Once ten give me the go ahead i can then book 1 more range (100 yards would probably be best) and once 20 say its ok i will book the other. So i will get the ball rolling and say me and my dad will happily give over our £4.80 so thats
