tommy trucker
i was set up for going out lamping last night so after a hard last 6 days of constantly working getting up at 3am etc i went to bed at 6.30pm hoping to get a couple of hrs shut eye before i went out. i told mywife to wake me at 8.30 ish. i never woke till 7am this morning!!! she said she tried to wake me but couldnt so i had some coffee & eatsand gathered my rifle to arrive at the farm at 8.30. i walked along the edge of a wood , half way down i got the smell of fox hurtling up my nostrells, so i went to a hedge 70yds away, tucked myself in with the rifle loaded (saftey on of coarse) bipod down. i had a good scan about before i called, i got my trusty fox whistle out and began to call. within 5mins alarge dog fox showed him self at the wood edge. down on the rifle i went, checked the back stop squeezed the trigger he went down before the crack of the bullet. iwent back to my car after taking some pics with my phone had a word with the farmer and was on my way home about 9.15 MARVELLOUS Edited January 26, 2006 by tommy trucker

tommy trucker
hello to you miffy This season to tell the truth i just cant be ***** to get out and do it :*) ive had less than 20 so far compaired to last season where my shooting partner and i had over 200 now ive decided to get into gear and make an effort Edited January 26, 2006 by tommy trucker
miffy
Glad to hear you are making the effort again coz i have lost interest in foxing in the last few months to be honest, just dont seem to be able to get **** into gear and get out. I started to reload some more ammo 2 days ago (ran out on last trip out and need to get round the rest of the shoot) but as yet its still not done. I might do it after tea if i can clear up all the paperwork i've got to do. Why does it seem like such a chore??
