shawn9914
hi all my wife has had laser eye surgery today, she has had the treatment where they do not cut the eye they scratch away the surface, or some thing like that. she is in bed now doped up to the EYE BALLS with sleeping tablets, she is in severe discomfort and has asked me to ask if any of you have had this treatment and how long will the bad pain last before it becomes tollerant. cheers shawn
Gemini
My son’s ex had this done. Spent an uncomfortable night before it settled down. She was as blind as a bat prior to the treatment and can now see very well. Bless her…….the conniving ****…it was my lad who paid for it. :< G.M. Dunkield
Shawn, My brother had it done about 3 months ago and was in pain for a day and couldn't look at anything bright for another, and then bingo - all OK, he has never looked back (excuse the pun ) As it seems to have worked I may get it done and save on all the contact lens sh*te

Nildes
I had it done asbout three years ago. They cut a semicurcular flap in the cornea, lifted it up and used a laser to zap the bit underneath to re-shape it. Then they flipped the flap back. It took about a week before it all settled down but it was worth it. The pain was gone in 48 hours and bright lights were tough for a bit but the drops helped. My vision is much improved. I need glasses for reading but my distance (shooting) vision is fantastic. I can read down to the bottom line on the eye chart too So tell her to tough it out, its worth the wait! Oh, and buy all the new guns etc c`amo and hang them on the wall before she takes the dressings off. Those? Oh they've been there for years, Your couldn't see them before
NorfolkBoy
Does this treatment need to be re-done in the future...? I heard that it was only good for 5-10 years......
