steve_b_wales
The .243 caliber bullet is 6mm in size, so it may be too big for the .223 moderator. However, sometimes moderator's are made to accept a bullet slightly bigger that what's stamped on it. Not sure about proofing reg's though. snowz
My 223 was/proofed stamped as such but it is now on my 260 which is 6.5mm heads a lot bigger than 22cal heads never had to change a thing. Lots of mods are made up to 30cal and then over 30cal etc are spcificly made

Dekers
The .223 (.22) baffle stack is a relatively recent introduction to the P8 Range. My first P8 which was specifically for my .223 actually had a .25 baffle stack (closest they could do at the time), which was abviously fine for the .243 as well! There are bands on the baffle stack insert which will indicate the size (or you could measure it of course), if it is the .25 then it is fine to use on a .243 (even if it is proofed .223). About £60 for the stack now I think, worth double checking if you really do need it I suggest, but do be careful, you do not want to put a .243 down a .22 baffle stack! Andrew Banner will tell you what the bands indicate on the baffle stack if you are in doubt...and DO NOT be in any doubt before mounting it on any calibre! ATB!!
