sorted now just rang the team at pred 8 and you can buy a pice that you change inside to make it fire the 243 thanks guys

 

 

would thgat be a variation on your FAC?? and as Steve says will the 243 head travel alomg the rest of the mod without clipping etc

 

to be honest If I were you I'd buy a 243 proofed Mod

The .223 (.22) baffle stack is a relatively recent introduction to the P8 Range.

 

My first P8 which was specifically for my .223 actually had a .25 baffle stack (closest they could do at the time), which was abviously fine for the .243 as well!

 

There are bands on the baffle stack insert which will indicate the size (or you could measure it of course), if it is the .25 then it is fine to use on a .243 (even if it is proofed .223).

 

About £60 for the stack now I think, worth double checking if you really do need it I suggest, but do be careful, you do not want to put a .243 down a .22 baffle stack!

 

Andrew Banner will tell you what the bands indicate on the baffle stack if you are in doubt...and DO NOT be in any doubt before mounting it on any calibre!
