I would go for a mint s/h weihrauch hw100ks (karbine sporter) q/f...plenty around for 550ish more shots per fill on the full length, (HW100s)but they are heavy. If you want to buy new, an Air Arms s410. You will get a beeched stocked one and a moderator for close to 570...70 more for the walnut stock. Again, there are some good second hand deals to be had and a mint one will probably be around 450 with scope. In terms of accuracy I find them both as accurate as each other. The AA is lighter. Hope this helps, good luck in your search. :)

For a 12 flb get the AA410 CLASSIC .177 :) i cannot praise this rifle enough,in the classic you will get extra shots and .177 will as a fact shoot faster and further and the equiv to 22lbs .22 according to the chair :lol: ,i sold mine to fund my fac and it went for £450 inc mod earlier this year,it was beech model and mint,the only thing i would say against it was;

The classic with a mod on is very long

The bluing is not so good and MUST be oiled after use

The bolt action can be notchy til you get used to it

I have owend and used others and would still buy a 410 again,if fac i would prob consider a rapid as well,but at 12flbs it would defo be .177.

What do you want to do with it, and do you have an issue with a R7?

Another vote for .177 over .22 :good:

Does the AA 410 have a regulator? When i bought my BSA hornet (long time ago now) it was a choice between that and the air arms, i was swayed by the bsa having a free floating barrel and a regulator

Not the AA doesn't have a regulator as standard, but you can get them after market...but costly. The weihrauch does.The AA is a little erratic if you fill up to the max recommended max pressure of 200. I fill to 170-175 and then have a sweet spot down to around 95. That allows plenty of bang on accurate shots and to be honest if you have a pcp you will have charging gear so imho its pointless to try and run it down to its last breath or worry about buying a rifle because it doesn't have a regulator. I havn't yet used more than about 15 shots on a hunting outing.
