It's just about in one peice, but not great! Does anyone know how much it costs to get a replacement? Am i best to ring my FAO? Any advice, muchly appreciated! You have to let them know if it is destroyed, but yours is only severly dammaged. If it is still legible it might be OK, but best ask your FEO for a re-issue. Some guys have posted on here that they have gone in and had it done "while you wait", you could get lucky.

Imperfection
Its £9 for replacement firearm and £8 for shotgun. Quite why theres a price difference gawd only knows unless the ink is cheaper.
Guest gloker
Mine got soaked in blood. long story, but my waterproof compartment isnt. Anyhoo. rang them, said send it in (in a sealed A4 plastic envelope thingy) and they sent a replacement FOC by return of post. (took 4 days all in) That was humberside. The replacement was exactly the same but with a full colour photo instead of a B&W ?

Heilan Coo
Slightly off topic but still relevant, I think!? I keep meaning to get a photocopy of my shotgun license to take with me when I'm out shooting. What i was wondering, would this be acceptable if I was asked to show it? Incidentally, I've only had my shotgun license for about 18mth and apart from when I bought my gun, I've never once been asked to show it, even when buying cartridges! I even bought cartidges years ago for the oldman and was never questioned. Is this the norm? Sorry just noticed the thread in general shooting matters. Doh!! apache
If you can produce the old certificate that is damaged or soiled, ammo section full etc then if you send your old one back they will re-issue for free. You have to pay if you lose your certificate and they have to issue a new one. Where my GF's SGC was folded the expiry date got rubbed off after about 2 years and they re-issued FOC, because she sent the old one back.
