DSPUK
Spent this morning cleaning my wipers in sink - good wash with soap - let them dry off and put spot of light gun oil on pivots. Yesterday the washers on top of bonnet never thawed out till I had finished shooting lunch time so gave windscreen a good squirt and wipe then blow me down a mile down road the wiper blades had froze so when switched them on they wiped across screen but didn't touch it - they were froze to park shape - straight. Also got small piece of foil insulation and gaffer taped over top of nozzels so wind doesn't keep freezing them. dave

gixer1
vaseline on the rubber bit above the blade is the trick apparently, it's petroleum based and so is harder to freeze....(the petroleum based bit is also the reason rubbin it on a condomed tadger is a bad idea! weakens rubber apparently.. ..) oh the comedy when your neighbours see you out rubbing up your car with vaseline.... WGD
As long as they don't see you out rubbing your "condomed tadger" you should be ok :yp:
EastSussexLad
Currently in a hedge somewhere!, while out shooting on saturday coming back from one of the fields we noticed a "Squeek" coming from inside the dash of the landrover.. and didn't think anything of it!, found out sunday morning some ******** had got into the landrover while we were shooting and snapped the bit off where the indicators are and both the wipers. ******* *****. VicW
By your windscreen washer additive from Aldi or Lidl when it's on special offer at two for one.You then get 10 litres for £5 and use it neat in your washers. It works for me. Mungler
I no it's not enviro friendly, but starting your truck up for 10 mins with the hot air blower on is pure luxury to get into when the whether is showing minus loads.
