Hunter
What kind of cartridge do you use for rabbits? I have heard anything bellow 6 is fine, and some people say they use even 3's Also what gram size? and lastley, what kind of range do you take rabbits at, or would consider too far.. Cheers
Fenlander
I use 30or 32 grams No 6 through a half choke barrel,in my oppinion you do'nt need to use bigger shot than a 6,a rabbit do'nt take a lot of stopping. All the best Mick.
lurcherboy
25-30 yards maximum. I use no5's 30-32 grm's but the meat is nearly allways damaged. Why not try an air rifle? It makes excellent hunting trying to get close to them scuts LB

gibby
I second 32g no. 6, not much damage and they just roll over. (As long as you hit them) Gibby
plexer
Normally use my pigeon load which is 32g 6.5's but shot one with 36g 4's the other day and I killed it without blowing it to shreds as it was a fair distance going away. Hunter
lol I thought people would be using 36gram 4/5's on a turkey choke Seems like you can use up to shot size 6 at close range. I would like to keep the meat for eating, rather then spreading it accross the field. I do hunt with an airgun, but I have sent of my shottie/FAC certificate, and I want to experiment a bit. I had good success with the Webley Raider or bunnies last year, but my dad has this rifle now, and I have the Crossman Rabbitstopper and a new Webley Lonbow whcich im now squirrel hunting with. (there seems to be no rabbits on our land suddenly?)
