Pigeon Magnets

I am looking to buy a pigeon magnet as my home made one has fallen apart, although I did have some memorable days using it, it weighed too much.

What is the best magnet on the market that is lightweight ie I can carry it long distances with my other equipment, will last all day, rechargeable, 2 bird magnet.

What are Pinewood Advantage Rotary devices like?

Any Info Please

Thanks Tony

In my humble opinion Pinewood Advantage rotary decoy devices, are the best on the market.

They are not the cheapest, but they are light and well made.

Their motor system is so efficient, that it extends the life of your battery in the field.

I have no business connection with Pinewood.

Hi anthony. The pinewood machine seems to appeal to a lot of people and the makers claim it will run all day from a 7ah battery which has got to be better than lugging these big batterys around.I dont own one myself as i make my own but i can see myself buying one in the future just to save on weight and having to lugg heavy batterys around.

:) Can,t wait for your answer Number1 as when one of our farmers saw the success we were having with the rotor he was thrilled.

Taking advantage of this we said (tongue in cheek ) that we were using a lot more cartridges though.

It worked and next time we went there was a 250 box of shells waiting for us. B)<_<

I have a pinewood and am very chuffed. The battery does go for ever, In the past I've used it for three for four outings without recharging the battery (I always keep a spare batt in the car).

I have heard similiar reports of farmers not allowing the use of rotors on their land. One of the arguments was they were trying to rid their land of pigeons, not draw them in from afar. You can see their point I suppose, If birds haven't 'found' a field, drawing them in with a rotor would certainly make them aware of it and who can gurantee 100% kills. This could lead birds to return at a later date when no shooters are about.

<_< Number1 if he thinks that rotors are unfair on the birds, he obviously hasn,t got a pigeon problem.

The only reason my farmers are happy to let people shoot pigeons for free on their land is because they look on us as doing them a favour.

Farmers are not renown for giving something for nothing. :< :)
