The other day I went for a little walk up to the back of my girlfriends fields. When she's at work and I'm bored (Im off work due to a motorbike accident) I tend to go and see if there are any bunnies or pigeons. This time though, as i walked by the edge of a small wooded area, I startled two pheasants. I thought they would go away from me, andtherefore not be on my girlfriends land, but luckily they quartered straight across the front of me, on a shallow upward angle. I raised the gun, and waited till they were well in my permission area, and at the perfect range, and bang, dropped the rear of the two. Perfect I thought, I get a pop at the other one too, not expecting to get it. It was probably a little over 40 yards away now and starting to get some height to get over the row of trees. Bang, brought it down, though unfortunately not a clean kill. I ran over grabbed its feet and dispatched it by swinging its head jolly hard against the bar fence. Yummy, dinner for me and the girlfriend, she will be pleased! (Just best not let her 5yr old see them, he wouldn't like it.)

well. I know this is a point that some people have issue with. And what I have been taught (not shown) is to extend the neck then bend it through 90 degrees. and for some reason, I dont trust it. I reckoned it would be quicker and more definate to give it a good HARD swing against a solid pole. Its not ideal, I wish they'd both been done outright from the shot. Pigeons I can do ok with the quick flick when they you hanh them from the neck between your fingers. But I figured that wouldnt work with the pheasant...
