Davy Holt
Hiya, Managed to sneak away from work early so headed out to the farm, I had started reloading for the .222 last night so was very keen to see how my first ever self made ammo worked. It took quite a few shots for the ammo to settle down in the gun and get it back on zero then I put a few more through it just to make sure. As it started to get dark I headed down into the field with the idea of ambushing the big Dog fox I had seen over the last week, every time I seen him the followed the same route so i put myself in the best position to ambush him when he appeared. After about an hour there had been no sign of him and I was getting a tad cold (only minus 9) and was thinking about giving up. Just then I caught movement out the corner of my eye well down the fence line that I was standing at the end of, directly down wind of me :( A quick flash of the lamp and sure enough it was a fox at about 100yrds, I put the lamp on him again then the cross hairs on his chest and squeezed the trigger and down he went. Sure enough It was the big dog I had been after.. was well pleased

Davy Holt
Hiya, Healthy looking fox, did you squeek him out or just quietly wait? I was just quietly waiting.. had tried squeeking him before but he got off his mark fast each time.
