Cracking photo,s ,hell of a set of teeth.what camrea did you use cause their very clear ,no blur even though the dogs obviousley shifting.

I was thinking of getting a good camera for the mrs to take some sporting pictures, one thats not to complicated to use (not that i'm saying she's thick ) but wouldn't know where to start.

The camera i use is a canon 1000D with a canon 55/250 lens on it .. i use the auto for this kind of pic by the time you have fiddled setting it up on manual the dogs over the other side of the field

But i can try to set the camera up copying the data from one of the pics of the dog running & try it on manual just as an experiment

Having the extra light from the snow helped enormously the shutter was going like a machine gun rather than chugging :good:

Try these settings:-

AV mode

ISO 400

f 5.6

get down low eye level with dog Focus on dogs eyes to get them sharp.

try pod if available

Sun light behind dog

Dog running at you from dark back ground ( snow will light up from sun light and show in the dark back ground )

keep the dog in focus press the trigger ( don't forget to breath ) and don;t forget to duck when he gets close.

A fast card if available, shoot in raw

We don't won't your dog looking shagy. ;) good luck.
