Dirty Harry
I can recomend a good B&B only 5 mins from the famous Spa Circuit and not to far from the Nurburgring. The guy who runs it is an instructor at both circuits and will give instruction for free if you stay there. This is a definate advantage when tackling the Ring for the first time. How do you post a pic?? Harry
Enzo
Went to the 'Ring last year on the Sprint with the wifey on the back. Great laugh going round two up with the top box as well.. Really freaky watching a car come around below you on the Karousel turn...I took the high route, first and last time up there! Saw a few tin cans in the litter - mostly BMW's, and one bad bike smash, into the armco. He wasn't getting up in a hurry... Won't put me off though, seen just as bad on the roads. Gilderoy
Yeah it's a CRF450, I'm wanting to change it for a 2 stroke, quite like the look of the RM's, I know they don't have great engines but with freestyle the engine doesn't take too much stick. Pedro
Bloody hell man, you've had a lobotomy What makes you want to do that? You're obviously one of these sickening types who can do anything on any bike, jammy ******. One of the best days out I've had was at the Yamaha Off Road School in Wales. It was a full on enduro day. Knackering, but learnt loads and had a top laugh. Geraint Jones is a Master! P.

Gilderoy
Yeah those off road days are cool! I once did a 2hr beach race up in North Berwick and it was great fun! Came dead last i think due to a handlebar in the thigh, Had a dead leg for well over a week! Thought it was broke. Rich

Pedro
Got to take the Blade out on Monday, (parking and congestion issues). Thoroughly looking forward too it, just hope to God it doesn't snow. This is the first winter in the past 13 years I haven't been on the bike 100% of the time. Must admit I feel a complete fraud! P. Pedro
Brings back horrible memories of coming to a complete stop right next to the Armco with nowhere left to go. Still want to do it again though. P.

Dirty Harry
Gilderoy, How the **** did that bloke crash there? Thats almost a straight bit of road. Harry P.S. Gilderoy
Miffy I'll let you know when me and the rabble are going, they'll try and tell you that i'm slow but if you look on the video that i posted thay are the 3 that I go around the outside of on the hairpin (R6, millie and yellow blade down the straight) Cheers for the Hawkstone info Mag-Man!!! Dirty Harry it looks like he'll have had a slide somehow or maybe a speed wobble or tank slapper, these are very scary as they get progresivly worse, there's a famous one of a guy on a old blade at the isle of man. He gets very out of shape and hit's a wall, don't know if he lives to tell the tale, As i remember it was very bad. **** it i'll have to find it to show you! Easier than typing! Here we are!!! http://powerpixelmedia.com/Bike%20Crash.mpeg Following on, either way it's going to hurt!!! The rule goes that if you lose the front you tend to just slide off into the grass with minimal damage but the back well that's a different matter. In the good old days i guess the back end would come round and just keep sliding out but now it'll break traction and looks cool for about a second as you slide round but then it grips and corrects itself causing a violent snap which launches you 10ft into the air. The landings are worst part. Again I'll find some clips to explain! Highside ---> http://www.uponone.com/videos.php?id=42 But if you get it right this is what it looks like!! Awesome!!!! http://www.uponone.com/videos.php?id=216 Lowside at 1.15sec into the clip ------> http://www.bikechatforums.com/videos/faster_clip.avi The best bit is at 1.10 when they all fly past! It's a shame they went 4 stroke! This is a great vid!!! I have the full faster video and it's well worth the buy!! Roll on the summer!! Enjoy!!!!
