Toombsy
Hello all, Just to let you know there seems to be a bad batch of Dan Arms Sporter cartridges circulating - the primers are either too hard or they just aren't firing. My dad had 5 misfires in 50 cartridges last week. I had four not fire yesterday out of two boxes and another shooter was suffering the same problem at the same clay ground, again with the same type of cartridge. VicW
I have had several Danarm cartridges not firing and a friend had even more. A close examination showed that on the faulty ones the primers appeared to be set a bit low. Other than that I thought they were an excellent cartridge. Vic. Floating Chamber
Were they in the bottom barrel of a Miroku or Browning? Edit: Your armoury has just answered my question, I think. Edited January 10, 2011 by Floating Chamber
VicW
Mine weren't and one of the guns was a new Benelli but I have heard that story too. I have owned a well used Miroku and never had any bottom barrel problems with it. Vic.
Floating Chamber
I have and known many others who have had the same problem. New springs and modified strikers are the answer; the primers are probably fine.
Toombsy
No it's not the springs that are at fault... my dad has a Browning that has had springs replaced only a few weeks ago, and my gun's only 3 months old. The cartridges aren't up to scratch.
VicW
The ground where we bought the cartridges said he had other comments about misfires on these cartridges. We both changed to another brand without any failures then went back to the Danarms and the misfires returned. That's enough evidence for me. Vic.

peter_davey
Have things moved on with these cartridges as I just bought 500 - so I hope they are not as bad as they might seem?
Gerry31
Use them at our local club they are ok for a less expensive bang
EdSolomons
They will do the job better than any shooter on this site. Who cares if they make a mess when you fire? The important bit has long gone by that time! As long as they don't have a reliability issue with your gun then no problem.
Floating Chamber
What do people expect from fibre wads? A plastic wad will keep its integrity, a fibre wad is vegetable fibre. We in the know, KNOW, it stands a good chance of being damaged by blast when it exits the barrel. It has already done its job by then. These cartridges are now loaded with a high quality D20 variant propellant. Edited October 4, 2012 by Floating Chamber
