skinny
Well after many weeks of browsing the internet, posting on forums and watching guntrader like a hawk. I found a sako 75 in .243 that was in excellent nick. It was off a great chap in leatherhead. Its now got my S&B 8x56 mounted in sako rings on top and a jet-z compact moderator on the end. He also gave me 100 rounds of mixed ammo and a slip for it. Hopefully il try and zeroe it this weekend. Dunkield
Very nice. Was the ironing board there as a sort of 'his and hers' photo?
cometa24/7
very nice"skinny" it looks the real deal mate, and in excellent condition.. if you dont mind me asking? HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY?
skinny
The ironing board is my mums! Hopefully il pursuade her to do my shirts. The gun has shot about 100 rounds, mounts, mod, 100 rounds and gun slip for £1140. which i dont think is too bad, the guy is Chris Steed - Steed And Perrins, he has another 75 in there as well. top bloke. Hopefully il bag a few foxes over spring time with it.
Frenchieboy
Skinny, Chris Steed is a great guy to do business with. I got my .222 from Chris and I could not have asked for a more accurate gun and the price he charged was incredibly cheap too. That's a really great combination you have there! I am pretty sure that I will be getting my variation through towards the end of next week so i will hopefully be able to put a couple of pics of my new 243 up then! Will then be on the hunt for a Sako 85 6.5 x 55 Hunter or Vermint both in the Laminated Stainless model. Good luck with it
dunganick
Nice buy, better looking rifle than the 85 in my opinion. Small world, Chris shoots at the same rifle club as me.
mikee
i see you have some fiocchi ammo, i bought a couple of boxes of the 95gn SST to use at the range as they were cheap, i think they are loaded very hot, i fired about 6 and each time the bolt was very stiff an the primers were fairly flattened out, you may want to just try a couple and see if they are ok in your rifle mikee

skinny
cheers guys. Yeh im not that sure about the fiocchi ammo i think i might stick with the federal 95g but il take it out to zeroe soon and see. Its quite a step up from buying .22 ammo when your paying over £1 a bullet. I like the polymer tipped ammo, its expensive but should work well on boh the foxes and muntjack.
