Foxing Tonight

Managed to get the last couple of nights out lamping, out last night until midnight to no avail, very bright moonlight.

Saw one fox which was seriously lamp shy and would not respond to any call.

Out again tonight, very mild and a thin layer of cloud to mask the dreaded moons glow.

I was using my ucaller with a vixen mating call i uploaded from my pc, this has proved very good over the last couple of months and have shot quite a few using it.

Spotted vixen on the bankside around 200 yds out and lamped off, started caller and lamped on again around 10 seconds later and she was running towards me full tilt.

Had to shout a loud oi!! to stop her at 100yds, just long enough to squeeze a 55 grain .223 v-max off and put her to rest.

Returned home after this as my battery was dead, forgot to put it on charge after the other night.

Home for 22.30 for a nice beer n a bag o crisps after a great night out :good:

Cheers all

CB

Nice one mate, she looks in quite good condition.

I was going out lamping tonight but when I got to the farm the fog came in so I gave up in the interest of safety!

Yes i had the same problem last night on a different farm, fog/mist came in and could`nt see a thing.

agree with pete there looks in fine condition. and a bag of crisps well that just finish the night of a treat all the best

When I have a good night I celebrate wth an "Uncle Joes Mint Ball" but if a bag of crisps is what floats your boat then go for it, but if you are like me have low fat ones!:lol:
