djgeoff
Have you broken your hide pole lock thumb screws, then i have the solution. I came across this idea while fitting a flood light at work, using a plastic flex gland for flex access into fitting. It is a perfect fit, no need for filing, cutting( only maybe to remove old one). The item is a 25mm black stuffing gland ( flex gland), any good electrical merchant will have them. Remove lock nut if you wish, i left mine on for something to grip. Smear of good glue on pole, and push on to lower pole section, you may have to give it a tap home, its that tight. Wipe any excess glue from inside gland away or top section of pole will snag. Next undo nut on top of gland and push in you top section of pole, twist to lock, job done. heres a couple of pics, i hope you find this handy, i have changed all mine now and they are still working fine. Nice and cheap! easy to fit! no more grief. Edited January 29, 2011 by djgeoff

CZ550Kevlar
Don`t suppose you have any blue peter solutions for the spikes and kick plates?
djgeoff
well yeh but they were not cheap, i had some alloy spikes made that went up inside the pole past the kick plate, then i refixed kick plate with small nut & bolt through the pole and the spike. Poles won't bend now they double up as good spears if i cant shoot the pigeons Edited January 30, 2011 by djgeoff
UKPoacher
Don`t suppose you have any blue peter solutions for the spikes and kick plates? I take it youbought some of those 'solid point' poles off ebay that fold at the slightest resistance? Solution: Brolly Spike. Available from your fishing tackle dealer Edited January 30, 2011 by UKPoacher

bramble
i had forgotten how good this forum is for helping people out of a jam with broken kit and such like, i went on pauls tackle site and there are game bags on there for £8.95 seems a decent price.
