Piebob
Around where I stay and on my way to work there are a few farms that have old bangers (cars and vans) sitting in the middle of crop fields. I'm assuming they are used as scarecrows but have never got round to asking any farmers if they work. Anyone know if they do? Or could they become a ready made hide if they dont? Dave-G
Hmm - Given that it's harder to work around them with a plough etc, maybe harder is the wrong word? Lets say it would disrupt the straight lines that many farmers strive to acheive, as a way of showing off their skill - erm this is going pear shaped 'cos I cant put it into words correctly... Probably been dumped there - and left to use as hides is my guess EDIT :spelling Edited February 28, 2006 by Dave-G

Highlander
See a lot of that in Scotland. As HD says it's for the geese, usually a white van is considered the best...I wonder why
