Whitebridges
Cool bindi, cool. Chilled cool. Is anyone bidding? I like the thought of a days pigeon shooting in the cotswolds so i'm top bidder at the moment - hands off! Andy75
there aren't any pigeons on the Cotswolds! all far too shy these days - whirlygigs and flappers make them run (or flap) a mile!

Cranfield
Whitebridges, you winning anything yet ? I seem, to have the roses all to myself.....................at the moment. I might have a last minute snipe at some trout fishing.
Cranfield
Bump. This is a good cause Auction and worthy of support.
Whitebridges
Cranners, it is indeed worthy of support. I've been dabbling with days on the Derbyshire Wye ( a river I've fished several times and love), had a go at the pigeon shooting in the cotswolds, but this is getting pricey now. Can't think where I can put the roses so i'm leaving them for you. We donated a day on the river Nar and it's got to £97, great for the trust. Cranfield
There are still quite a few low prices on there, even though there are 4 days left.
Whitebridges
Agreed Cranners, Like a lot of auctions the serious punters only get going just before the off.............a bit like the Cheltenham festival this week. If I win a few quid this week, i'm gonna have a day somewhere. Pigs might fly.
Whitebridges
Phew £183 for a days pigeon shooting and still time left to bid higher. Is this a record? Edited March 14, 2006 by Whitebridges

Cranfield
Whitebridges, I know its all in aid of a good cause, but that is getting close to an expensive day out. You must have had better luck on the horses than I ever have. It looks as though I may be buying lots of roses. :o

Fisherman Mike gave a tip and I filled my boots. See the Cheltenham thread. All the roses are bought, I hope you get one mate. They are very nice I should think if you have the right house. Dunkield
Looking through those bids, you can only surmise that trout fishermen are bit less reluctant to part with their cash than most pigeon shooters
Whitebridges
Some people like to shoot game, fowl, pests and fish as well. I'm not sure you can draw too many conclusions from the bidding?
Dunkield
What I meant was... Try advertising 2 F1 tickets for £,2000 in the for sale and wanted section of PW and see how many takers there are :*) There are folks on here who try to make ezzy wobbler sticks as they don't to pay £1 each for them
