Billy.
It's an old P8. I've got one. The new one is a million times better constructed.
Bazooka Joe
Thanks HD....this is obviously what the Gunshop was on about. What I cannot understand is why they won't have anything to do with the newer models. Anyone wants to know a bit more click the link below; Predator_8
Beardo
bet that shook you up when it happened!
henry d
It`s a lightweight predator and the old style, nothing like the new style which is like a brick outhouse. There was no difference in POI when it happened, unless it was the last shot at the competition. If I had any misgivings I wouldn`t have put wildcats on both of my CF`s. bullet boy
That looks nasty.I'll stick with my T8!
henry d
This is the new style Predator 8, top R is the outer sleeve and into that fits bottom R (the knurled section has holes to allow the gases to expand back into the chamber formed by these two bits.) Bottom L is the baffle tube which screws into the knurled cover above it (Though this has another baffle tube in it from my .222). The flat face of the baffle tube is infact curved to deflect the gases back into the expansion chamber. IMHO - a distinctly different and better bit of kit. al4x
a heavy bit of kit though which is the only downside.
Beardo
i can't recommend the current Predator 8 compact highly enough - it's a really good piece of kit - definitely one of the better fullbore moderators on the market.

Billy.
So HD, remind us what the circumstances were for this hiccup... Was it literally just a normal sounding shot, followed by a rattling sound when you moved the rifle?
henry d
Not sure, it was only after getting home I noticed it. We had shot all day and the last stand was 400 and the targets were milk cartons filled with water and a clay pigeon, until then I had been doing well enough to be middle of the table and I missed both I didn`t expect to be on target as I hadn`t had time to work out where my impact was at 400, so I was working blind, however the shots weren`t too far out. When I got the rifle out of the slip at home I heard the rattle of the baffles.
