Frank
I love Walnut, but went for laminated, as hopefully, my next rifle will be that. Some of the laminate stocks iv seen, are very nice in my opinion.
dunganick
i went for walnut, in my opinion a nicely figured walnut stock looks better than any other. However a grey laminated stock with stainless barrel is very nice, 2nd only to a good piece of walnut
milo_05
"sorry to be slightly off topic, but is it possible to lengthing a stock? diy job on my air rifle? (sorry for the newbie question)" You could shape a piece of wood and put it on, or buy a longer butt pad and fit that. Or you could get one of those things you put on shotgun stocks although I doubt it would fit an air rifle?
miffy
Voted synthetic.. Its more practical for me to have a stock that i aint gonna worry too much about if i scratch.

JJaxeman
Voted synthetic.. Its more practical in the field as I dont have to worry about scratches/dinks so is easier to look after.
Hunter
Cant beat nice dark peice of smooth matt finished, deep cheqeured walnut wood. Otherwise synthetic, if its well made, not any old bit of black plastic
Big Dog
I like walnut, laminated and synthetic; they all have there place. I voted laminated because I really like the look of it and it is practical to. However, my next gun will most likely be synthetic for durable, working reasons.
