figgy
as anyone tried the new Modena tx3 cartridges from Italy 7.5 28 gramms, I have just bought a 1000 of them so far birds dead in the air @ 45 yards good for clays too. what do you think? As I'm about to buy in bulk to keep price and consistency the same for the summer I phoned eley today to get the info on these and a few others this what I was told Modena tx-3 are loaded by rio the parent company in Spain and are exactly the same performance wise as eley firsts The only difference between eley olympics and eley blues are the blues are loaded with more expensive powder and wad but give the same performance just smoother to shoot So I'm buying the olympics smooth enough for me. For people who like the firsts these modenas look great value.
HDAV
For people who like the firsts these modenas look great value. Oddly I was offered Eley first for the same low prices as i was paying for Modena (it was a passing conversation at a clay ground but Eley first 28g for £135 per 1000? MY local rfd was a bit more for firsts, something about a monthly offer had ended on the current stock, might be a dealer thing, looking online as you say HDAV lots doing them for 135 a thou. Wonder why manufacturers put out carts from the same company to compete with each other,do you think we buy more from the same company that way or not. Floating Chamber
They're printed 7.5, but on opening one, the shot was 2.4mm (English 7)
sitsinhedges
They're printed 7.5, but on opening one, the shot was 2.4mm (English 7) Those English Sporting fibres 7 1/2s I just got had 2mm-2.2mm in them. 8+9s??? Shame really I was hoping they'd be 7s so I could use them for decoying :(
