Reg Booty
I was on the phone in our living room when my mate asked me about the S400 and the colour of the stock, so I asked the missus to bring it in from the spare room so I could take a piccy of it........ The next scene runs in slow motion over and over again in my worst nightmare.... She came storming through holding it across her body, not thinking about the width of the door. Aaaaarrrrgh..... :o The rifle stooped dead. She carried on walking. Oh dear. The nice floating barrel is now sloping i'd say around an inch to the right, is it foooooked or do you think it will spring back Has anyone else experienced this on their S400 ( not the missus bending it through a door ! )

Hunter
Hey, If you can get the barrel right off the gun, you have a perfectly good chance of fixing it. If its off the gun, you can bend it slightly, then roll it on a flat table, and keep bending very slightly each time untill it rolls as smooth as you can get it. Should be completley fine as it wont have damaged the bore. Otherwise send it to me and il sort it for you  I am building a gun workshop as we speak
bindi
HI Matey, don't mess with it just yet, give aor arms a call and see if they can help you. They'll probably ask u to send it to them for a look. Failing that, seems ovbvious but do you have house insurance for contents. Mine would cover it, but with a 50 quid excess. regards bindi
Lancs Lad
new barrels aint that expensive....I had a quote to change my tx200 .22 to a .177 and think that the new barrel was only around 50 quid.
SNAKEBITE
I'd go for divorce  Seriously though I'd give Air Arms a ring. If time is of the essence I have heard a rumour that you can ring them and book an "over the counter" appointment. This is not an advertised service but Air Arms do their best to please. You are not too far away.

Reg Booty
Is this what it looks like http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/3324893.stm Gungadin, PSML ! ! ! Thankfully tis not that bad ! Thanks guys for all your help, after looking at it in more detail last night it seems the Figure of 8 device holding it true has "slipped" round to the right. Its held fast by 2 small scrub type screws which when undone it "almost" sprang back but still wants to dominate ever so slightly right. Hunter - Thanks a million for the offer, I may take you up on that, thanks again. Snakebite - Divorce was very nearly an option ! But seeing as she cooks the kill when it comes home, kinda forgave her ! Just a sharp short lesson in women and blokes toys........ Today I will call Air Arms and see what they can do ! Thanks all for your advice / help......
SNAKEBITE
BEN TAYLOR has just brought out an adjustable figure 8 device. This might be what you need as you can adjust out any discrepency with the grub screws on the device.
Reg Booty
Good thinking, just remembered reading that in the latest Airgun Mag - tis only about £25.00 as well I think. See what happens with Air Arms first !
Hunter
Sure Reg, if you can pop ina a few squids to post the barrel, Il send it back straight again. My main job at the moment is fixing stuf.. item after item at my house, so id be happy to sort it for you if its possible to take it off the rifle, as sending the whole lot could be expensive otherwise.. but either way not a problem. You should have seen the barrel on the Rabbitstopper rifle I bought.. made me feel sick inside everytime I looked down the bore.. couldnt see the other end
