Catweazle
Dobermanns look weird without cropped ears. Still, nice dogs. I like them intact, ears and tail. Max already had his tail done when we first saw him otherwise we would have let him keep it. Dobes look evil with cropped ears, it's bad enough now with people crossing the road when they see the pair on their leads, that's why I walk them mainly over the fields. Catweazle
me too! thats a cracking looking dog there mate. my dad's had a couple one was a beast of a dog but had been used as a guard dog so not the best of tempraments unfortunately. i'm surprised more people don't use them as gun dogs though as there so intelligent and can run/work all day gary You're right, they are very intelligent and have a good nose too. As for guard dogs, they all are, regardless of history. You need to be firm and unflinching with a young dobie, especially a dog, once you've got the dogs head straight that you are in command he'll be very loyal and let you do anything you want. Last thing you want is 55kg of dog that thinks he can decide what to do. I seriously would not have one if I had young kids, not because they're particularly vicious but because one bite can do a lot of damage, like any large breed. four-wheel-drive
Here's our tribe/herd... Yep, three (our of four) cats and a jack russell (Henry) sharing the sofa. Wasn't really a cat person until I met t'other half but four Siamese cats are hugely entertaining, great personalities and no malice. They're show cats so have good temperaments. Henry thinks they're ace too, and he doesn't chase them either! Here's a better pic of the hound, makes me laugh every day I'm not much in to mogs but love your little russell.
