(Ref Rolls Royce "If you have got to ask the price you can't afford it") If a second hand, used, pre-owned etc example then as above if you have to ask if a vehicle which, on a good day, will do about 12 to the gallon, and is a highly tuned and customised version of a vehicle that, rightly or wrongly, has a very poor reputation for reliability, well what do you think? you won't have much change from your benefits cheque. Certainly all early Overfinch RR were exclusively petrol and they may now offer a V8 diesel version I doubt if there are many takers, Overfinch buyers can usually afford the fuel bills. Mr P I knew a guy who bought an Overfinch at auction, it was a very old one, probably one of the earliest 2 door version about a 1975/6, he wanted a RR and bid on this one that was jammed hard into a corner of the auction. Got it home, after filling up on the way, and mentioned at work a couple of days later that it had a funny badge on the back and the logbook said it had a 5 litre engine!! He was shocked when we explained what it was (so was his insurance company when he told them). Going to and from work he was getting 9 miles to the gallon and he soon bought a Honda 90. Me thinks if your an average RR driver that wants something abit special this is exactly the type of question you should be asking, and OverFinch agree hense the base 3.6 TDV6 options stating at £50+k and the fact that they no longer do silly engines If you are talking brand new then you need to speak to your local LR dealers or specialists about servicing etc. Id go for the TDV8 RRS the motor is slightly tunned most LR dealers will service it and it looks the muts nuts.
