stubby
use the search function (top right of page) for crow decoying, you'll find loads
UKPoacher
If you are talking crows not rooks then all you need is one decoy and excellent cover. Crows at this time of year are very territorial and will confront any intruder on their patch. Make your hide first then put the decoy out and sit tight until you get a good shot. You will usually hear it calling before you see it. I use steel #4's for crows or #5's in lead.
Cranfield
Most people that refer to crows mean rooks. The old expression, "if you see a group of crows they are rooks and if you see one rook, its a crow", is very true. You obviously were doing something right if you shot two in a short time, so I would suggest more of the same. I have found the owl decoy only works for short sessions, unless you are very close to a rookery.
steve_b_wales
I use approx 18 crow decoys, then add the shot ones to the pattern. I also use a Primos Power crow caller, which is brilliant, and a flapper with intermittent timer. I had no luck using an owl decoy, but found that by lofting some crow decoys into the tree's, helped bring them in.

steve_b_wales
Crows have very sharp eyesight, and will spot anything in the hide that does'nt look right,ie, skin tone etc. It's also important to keep as still as possible when in the hide, until the crows are in range. I place the decoys in a random fashion, but not facing the hide. As birds are shot, I place them out with the decoys. I did'nt have any luck with my Eagle Owl decoy, but intend to try it again by placing it on a lower branch of a tree with decoy crows above it. This,I have read, is supposed to give the crows more confidence to mob it. Steve.

bruno22rf
Anyone ever tried a "Weasel ball"?-I wonder if you covered the ball in grey fur and put said toy out in clear view (but within shotgun range)the crows would be interested enough to come have a closer look?
