Gazza bad shot
Going through the site i found an entry asking about how much you get for pigeons, but i couldnt find it again to reply.I have sevaral outlets all paying 40p and i cant shoot enough of them(hence the name )
Cranfield
I think if we could get 40p per bird, it would improve our aim some what. Unfortunately, we are lucky to get 10p at the moment. Gazza, we will come and shoot some of them for you.

rjimmer
Can't think why anybody would pay 40p for a pigeon when they could buy a pheasant for 30p in season.
Catamong
Reminds me of the old days - back in '79 we were getting 45p a bird....!!!!!!!!!!!
rjimmer
Reminds me of the old days - back in '79 we were getting 45p a bird....!!!!!!!!!!! I think they were about the same in the 40s and 50s until meat came off ration, but in that cold weather of early '63, they were so thin we couldn't give them away. Gazza bad shot
Its not quite as good as it seems though, they have to be shot with non toxic shot. With the price of steel shot £170 per 1000 can sting your pocket on windy 'not coming in' days.

Cranfield
Rabbits sold "gutted", with their skin and head on.(Its a myxomatosis hangover) Pigeons to the Dealer, as shot. For the price we get, I wouldn,t pull one feather out of them.
