spurgate
Guys On my permission they have prepared the soil ready for sowing the cover crop, have any of you tried to fool pigeons into thinking that the soil has been freshly drilled? If no do you think it would work, the plan would be to create to separate small folks say 12 in each with a rotary and 2 floaters. What do you think. deny essex
Worth a try if your folks opps! flocks look realistic enough, they may not be interested to commit but could bring birds in range for a look see and a shot.
Cranfield
You can bring birds down to have a look at decoys on a prepared field (especially rooks), but not usually as committed as when they have been feeding on the field the day before. Just put out a normal layout and see what happens.
motty
In my experience, your chance of success would be minimal. You may be ok if birds have been feeding on the field next to the cover. You would probably be just as well to try and shoot birds on a flightline.
