kip270
Just got back from a Stalking trip. My mate managed to bag this yearling doe with his .308. Had a great time away, and a good end to the Doe season
Marc M
Congrats on your successful stalk, I can only begin to imagine how much pleasure harvesting a deer after 2 or 3 days stalking up in the hills is to a shooter. Deer stalking is a sporting challenge I am yet to undertake, and until I am able, hats off to all those that do!

Lord Geordie
No no no A long long time ago in the day of the Rajah in India (god i sound like my grandpa ) The Top brass and well to do used to hunt PIGS with long sticks with a point on the end. (pig sticking) on horseback. I just saw the sticks (i beleive they are either Blind poles or rests???) and couldn't help it. The comment just kinda blurted out LG Edited March 30, 2006 by Lord Geordie

kip270
My mate saw a Roe buck, sod's law three days to go before the buck season. And i spotted a Red hind & calf, i managed get within 90yards of them and it was fab, just lying there watching them through my bino's.They didn't have a clue i was there. Just to watch them in there natural enviroment made my day. It's what makes shooting so enjoyable, being able to study animals without raising the rifle
billy
never a truer word spoken kip..watching is learning..and you cant get that from a book..all the best next month when the bucks come in..
kip270
Not the best pic in the world, but i have highlighted where the Red calf is, this was taken from 180yards. Forgot to take a pic when i got closer
