huffhuff
Well I've finally joined the 21st Century and got an Iphone . Can anybody recommend any decent Apps. Billy (the vinegar drinker) had some belters on the PW pre-shoot ****up They weren't apps. Unless I've missed the 'covert video taken inside a sex club' app (iPerv?) Are you looking for shooting specific apps? Or just handy, funky, cool super duper apps?!? RadioBOX - radio over tinternet The Radio- radio over tinternet eBay - obvious PayPal - obvious Shazam - handy for that niggly song Units - great for conversions Shakespeare - handy if you do pub quizes... Bible - something to read on the bog and helps counter religious drivel IMDb - obvious Cams Ahoy - not used it for a while, handy for speed cameras TubeMap - I get lost in London. Not any more..well... NationalTrust - i'm a member, makes finding stuff easy. Special offers etc. Google Earth - obvious AeroWeather - I use this for when I go flying and to cross-reference Traffic Info - obvious NavFree - UK & ROI - Good turn by turn satnav, for free Met Office - good for weather Dragon Dictation - amazing...but pretty useless (unless you have fat fingers) Gorillacam - handy camera bits not as standard on phone (timer delay etc.) Dropbox - good for sharing files on PC and phone ShotTimer - shot timer for shooting matches etc. Counter - literally a tally counter (I have mine set for bunnies, squizzers, pigeon, ******...) Find iPhone - from Apple. trace your lost or stoled phone. Remote wipe, send message etc. Flashlight - obvious 5-0 Radio - interesting...you can listen to NYPD radio chatter for example IPB - my preferred method of viewing pigeon watch Star Chart - great app for star constellations TreeID - i'm learning my trees...very handy Winter TreeID - same as above Ben

Billy.
Shazam, without a shadow of a doubt is the best one out there. Tells you the name of practically any song. Word Lens - Changes English to Spanish and vice versa. WhatsApp - IM chat, similar to BBM. Remote - Control your music playing on your computer from your iPhone. FlightRadar - See planes in augmented reality, their location, altitude, callsign and where they're going from and to. Find iPhone - If someone steals your iPhone, track it down and get it back (or wipe it) Light - Turns iPhone 4 into a torch djay - DJ app Ballistic FTE - Proper ballistic software Clay Tracker - Score cards for clay shooting The best thing you can do for your iPhone though is to jailbreak it. All apps for free Edited May 12, 2011 by Billy.

bazzab
jailbreakme.com first. Closely followed by Cydia then winterboard. My iphone is now a million times better than standard. Can do so much more. And as for this nonsense about it voids warranty if you have a problem. Ok it does BUT I have insurance on my phone. Any software problems and down the toilet for a soaking for it!!!!! :) !!!!!!!
ben0850
Some great ones already mentioned like Facebook, eBay. I commute on the train to Leeds and the network rail app is awesome. Convertbot for units etc Some of the shopping apps like Argos, homebase, all saints, Skysports do great apps for both football and cricket

Any software problems and down the toilet for a soaking for it!!!!! :) !!!!!!! Erm.. Jailbreakme.com is iOS 3.1.2 jailbreaking, so you're running a little behind the times. (We're on iOS 4 now and iOS 5 is coming in June) It doesn't void your warranty either. Well, it does, but the watermarking feature has since been removed, so Apple don't know if it's been previously jailbroken, to ensure that 2nd hand buyers aren't penalised. Therefore, your warranty is intact.

Mungler
I have no idea what anyone is on about. Incidentally, I have a brand new iPhone 4 in my desk drawer at work - what's it worth? I got sent it by O2 and I can't be ***** to lose days of my life transferring and updating etc from a phone that works perfectly well to a new phone that won't do anything more of what I actually want e.g. phone, text and photo.
