Simon123
How much are you paying for Gamebore Black Gold Game 35g No. 5 for 25 ? How much are you paying for RC Snipe 32g No.6 for 25 ? At my local RFD they are £9.50 for the Gamebore per box of 25 and £7.80 for the RC's per box of 25. Are these reasonable prices??? They would be used for rabbit's mostly and some corvid's and pigeons. Are these cartridges any good for this kind of shooting Edited May 15, 2011 by Simon123
apache
You buying 25's? Just cartridges list the black gold at £9.50/box. Often quite a bit cheaper if you buy a slab of 250.
mpk
I think for 250 32 grm no 6 I was paying around £69 don't really buy them in 25 so not to sure about the price for those Edited May 15, 2011 by mpk
Simon123
I don't want to buy 250, as i dont use them that often but i do need a box or two as they come in very handy, but i noticed that i would save £10 per box by buying in a bigger bulk of 250 rather than 25. If you want something with a bit of extra grunt that won't break the bank you could do worse than look at Gamebore Pigeon Extreme, 34g #5's They're about £6 for

Guest cookoff013
reloading these loads actually makes sense. because they are way more expensive than clay fodder. you can buy sipe powder and load it to the exact specs of rc sipe cartridges. but be aware the shotsizes are in italian, and arnt the same as english shotsizes. so english 6 is italian 7. thats why some shells hit harder. bigger shotsize. rimmie
Don't bother paying that much for rabbits and crows get some gamebore clear pigeon £45 for 250 and they do the same job. Iv used these for pheasants aswell as vermin no problems
dougall
Agree with Rimmie, any 30 g 5/6 will work fine. If you are only buying 25 no point shopping around!..so you might save £2..will cost you that in petrol to go fetch 'em!

Simon123
He's diddling ya  http://www.essexgun.com/index2.html Thanks, for the link. Cartridges are cheap there, well cheaper than what they are around here. Here's a link to one of my local RFD, where i get the heavy prices from ;)

Here's a link to one of my local RFD, where i get the heavy prices from ;) Only £2.50 difference if you buy 1000. A lot of places charge extra for smaller quantities. I don't buy from Essex Gun as it's cheaper to buy from my local RFD. He charges the same (pro rata) whether I buy 100 or 1000.
Frenchieboy
I got some Gamebore Black Gold 70mm 5 shot at the Cheshire Gun Rooms in Halliwell Road, Bolton just over a week ago at £7.50 per box!
al4x
Last time I got pointed in their directions black gold were £85 a slab in my local gunshop. Went elsewhere and a slab of rios for £50 is far nicer on the bank balance. To me any decent game cartridge will shoot the vermin you are after, black golds can't make up for putting the lead in the wrong place
Guest cookoff013
i`m a big fan of the rio`s. they were very cheap. and did the job. i even went out game shooting with them and they worked out a treat. back then they cost £35 a slab. i wouldnt hesitate shooting them ever. Mike525steel
i agree totally the extreme pigeon are plenty although i shoot most stuff with 30/2 gram 6 or high ducks with 36 gram 4's if your on em your on em!!!
Mark-70
£68 for 250 32g 5s not sure per box. Gamebore pigeon extremes look great except as far as I'm aware they only come in plastic wad, Which is fine if don't mind littering the land you shoot on.
