markbivvy Posted May 21, 2011 Report Share Posted May 21, 2011 Just got in, to find daughter number 2 had left me the above virus on me pc. house calls was no good, as was spyware blaster, could not run malwarebytes. spybot search and destroy moved the bits to let malwarebytes start and that finished the little ****** of. it had turned of the firewall and auto updates which icant re start,********. paulos Posted May 21, 2011 Report Share Posted May 21, 2011 (edited) I had this on mine a week or so ago and drove me mad. I found the easiest way to get round it was to right-click on the icon for Malwarebytes and then select "Run as administrator". That seems to bypass the virus's block on the program. phaedra1106 Posted May 22, 2011 Report Share Posted May 22, 2011 No need to restore if you have Malwarebytes on it, if it won't run restart in "safe mode with networking" (press the F8 key when booting) update Malwarebytes and then run it.
