If anyone is interested moving back from Virgin media. Does that include fitting a new telephone line into the house as we aren`t on the grid, only fibre optic linked to us. CZ550Kevlar
Hmm with BT i`m looking at a heady 4mb download speed, now blow me down if that isn`t quick
guest1957
My BT connection varies from intermittent connection through to very slow connection. Once in a blue moon it will acheive 2/3rds of the advertised speed. This in a London postcode, not back in Suffolk.
Billy.
BT - The company which owns the line, but every other internet provider that uses the BT Lines manages to have a better uptime. I'd get a refund pronto. BT are useless.
gixer1
Never had a problem with BT and have always stayed with them. What makes you say they are bad Billy? Regards, Gixer
Billy.
Never had a problem with BT and have always stayed with them. What makes you say they are bad Billy? Regards, Gixer We've got it at work. It's a nightmare. It probably drops out every half hour. You'd think "Well that's a local problem" it's not. My mates have an office just up the road and they have the exact problem. Had to pay BT to come out and check the line.
guest1957
I'm with Billy, I spend half my life resetting the HomeHub. I'll be shot of them as soon as the contract is up.

KPV4
BT all the way I have been with several providers, and my line has constantly dropped out having to reset the router, made the internet un-usable most days. None of the other companies could sort out he problem, no access to engineers because they didn't want to pay BT to look into the issue. So decided to got to BT, who better to get the issue sorted than the company who owns the line being used and have the engineers who can call at the house? After joining BT had the same line drop out issues, BT were brilliant. Three engineer home calls (no charge) and the problem sorted and has been for the last 2 years, and the price has dropped per month, can't fault them so far, so thanks BT Edited May 23, 2011 by KPV4
