TaxiDriver
I've recently bought one of the Deben ones, Seems fit for purpose, the 9-13" legs seem about right for me as the small one seemed a little too short when laying down. steve_b_wales
Harris bipods are the best, but there's nothing wrong with Deben's own brand.

Dekers
Harris bipods are the best, but there's nothing wrong with Deben's own brand. You have to be realistic, Harris are excellent, I have a couple of different ones from them, they get a lot of use, I would not consider anything else and I'm very pleased. I next to never go out without them and they get used on everything from my Air rifles to Centrefires. Simple fact is there are some perfectly acceptable bipods a lot cheaper which many will find perfectly acceptable! Look round the web etc, Deben do seem reasonable, but there are many others. There was a UK made selection at one of the stalls at Phoenix at Bisley this weekend, I looked at the 13-27 Swivel, £75 show offer, he came down to £50 without any pressure, fact is a quick look showed wobbly legs, weak springs, poor powder coat, large tolerances and poor quality control, I didn't bother looking any further, even for £50 I walked on! Be a bit careful, you don't have to spend Harris money but some are rubbish! ATB! Edited May 30, 2011 by Dekers

Al Downie
Also use two different Harris models and wouldn't spend money on cheaper things - I'm sure some are great and solid, but I have a lot of confidence in the Harris and am happy with the price. Whatever you buy, make sure it allows you to 'swivel' the rifle, so if you lay down on uneven ground your scope you can keep the rifle vertical (i.e. not canted). bullet boy
Harris pods are the best!Get a 9"-13" swivel model. They are not cheap but you pay for quality plus it will improve your shooting immensely!!ATB.
dan-250
I got a bipod off jsrammsbottoms for 23quid, surprised me it's good quality an will do perfectly fine for me. Think it only goes to 11 inch tho. An it's nice that the springs sent on show and locks in place
Al Downie
Regarding height, I'm also a fan of the taller Harris models. I'm tall enough to use them prone when they're at their smallest setting, but when walking about with the legs extended, it's easy and quiet to drop into a stable kneeling position with the perfect rest. Brilliant kit.
