fenboy
The thing with arms is called a pigeon magnet ,it would be no use at all if you are using a airgun as the pigeons would be very unlikely to land. You just need some ordinary decoys and a decent hide net,by the way dont feed your hawk anything you have shot for risking giving it lead poisoning though if you can head shoot the pigeons you could just remove them and they would be fine. team tractor
Lads its illegal to decoy birds full stop of your pulling them in to a empty field with none on it . You have to able to prove crop damage so let's carry on as we were

It may be illegall to bait but I can't see a problem as people leave dead rabbit on fences to attract foxes but no one minds that.
team tractor
Just to add that they now know its illegal to bait now and its the learning that's important that's why we scan forums for advice as we live and learn

Shoot and enjoy

blasterjudd
Right agree with the others baiting is outlawed!!! However a rotary with hypa flappers will bring the birds in where statics won't, I shoot with a shotgun and airgun and often get birds dropping down on the field around my rotary it's worth a try and makes a change to the scenary using static decoys especially if your farms not had a rotary on it before??? The only issue you will have is weight lugging an airgun and a rotary together will certainly make you sweat! Good luck with your blasting, let us all know how you get on and remember a change is as good as a rest!!!
