Am I right in thinking that the current cabinet standard is that it has to resist attack from hand tools for 30 minutes? activeviii Posted July 7, 2011 Report Share Posted July 7, 2011 I have a workshop that is alarmed and no windows. no access to garden without jumping hedges and fences. FLO would even consider my putting a cabinet in there so i could clean guns or make parts and store in workshop. it had to be in the house because there is more activity in the house. pain in the bum as i cant even leave bullets and primers up there as they want them locked in the house. Apart from BS 7558/92, which is the British Standard for gunsafes, I think the level of security is completely down to the individual FLO.
