Anything drab is fine although I like woodland Marpat cammo but my kids call it digital vomit or digi-vom for short. I can't say it matters what you choose personally I think realtree looks stupid?? Id you added some bits of branches and coloured jute to a dpm you´re blend in like a ghillie suit, talking of which when in forests and roost shooting, these are also excellent, but any camoflage or matted clothing will work behind nets. Main thing is NOT to move around too much, and don´t wear anything bright or shiny, and either a face veil or some camo cream on your face, and cover the backs of your hands with a few stripes of camo, or some matt coloured gloves. The main object is to remove bright shiney surfaces, and break up your outline somewhat. I don't use a hide net, I just blend into the hedge, bush, tree or whatever. A net is handy for when you move around alot or don't have or want to wear camo. Remember, it won´t matter how much camo you use if you keep moving, the birds will see you, STAY as STILL as possible. abso spot on. i wear no cammo at all in summer, but do have dpm coat in winter. as long as your not in fluorescent Kappa trackies then it doesn't matter as long as you keep still behind your hide. i'd say more important is a comfy seat and good hide layout, this way your less likely to get fidgety and move around. insect repellant in summer and plenty of layers in winter, little things like that. then you can keep still. bit of mud on backs of hands if you want, even on face if you want to play rambo. hat is good though, especially if Mr bic cuts your hair for you. hankook1 Posted August 6, 2011 Report Share Posted August 6, 2011 hi it really don't matter at all pigeons are alerted to movement more than colours if you are looking thru a hide they will only spot you when you stand up to shoot then it's to late, however it you want something to blend in with the summer hedgerow's i think swedish army flecktarn is a wise choice !
