simshaz
just picked up a couple of the blue storage barrels. 21" high and 12" diameter. they have a metal cuff that fits around the top to seal the thick plastic lid on. I am going to spray them black and with a small pad are the ideal seat As in picture below
pegasus bridge
nice idea, how sturdy are the buckets themselves? how much did they set you back?
PaulABF
I've been using one for years. Use it for storage on the way out shooting then as a seat. Perfect hight too.

Now why would you state 'collection only', then further down the listing say you can deliver?! My bad, have asked for a costing, will let you know what they reckon. 10WM
I have a supply of these type drums, at £5 each. I am near Chester. I have been adding wooden legs bloted on with big washers, and selling them for £10 as DIY Pheasant feeders.Still got some. Tom Blades who was head of BASC Gamekeepers, said you need 1 feeder per 20 birds in the pens and 1 feeder per 10 birds in the woods. so have we all been putting enough feeders out?? simshaz
i am going to add some metal loops on the side in place of the black handles and then i have a few old laptop case shoulder straps knocking round the house. I was considering spraying matt black or green as the blue is a little visual. so sturdy tho for the money if anyone is in ellesmere port there is an advert in Jacksons gunsmiths for the samer barrels to a guy called Lee ... i think. anyway they were £5 each
simshaz
started to paint the sear barrels

HW682
If anyone is interested, you can get the spinning cushioned bucket seat tops for $9.99 at Cabelas. http://www.cabelas.com/stools-chairs-seat-cushions-silent-spin-bucket-seat-1.shtml Unless there is a source in the UK though, or someone wants to sort a bulk order, then I guess the postage is going to be a killer. -Mongrel-
damn! Ok, just had another email saying "terribly sorry, misquoted you on the postage, it should be £9.36 for two", I have emailed back asking for confirmation, but looks as though it will end up about £17 for two delivered.
simshaz
Sounds like a better price, i will be in Liverpool again in a few weeks and can speak to the guy i bought from to see if he has more available. happy to bring a few back down south. he was charging £15 for 2 collected, but they are new or as new. £17 for 2 delivered to me seems a bloody good price.
