stirky
Went out for an evening stalk on monday, sat in a place overlooking an area of plantation where i could see into a clearing on a banking about 100-200yds away. Sat and waited about one hour but saw nothing, so i decided to move and try somewhere else, when i stood up i looked around through my binos and spotted a deer head only by chance as it flicked it ear, it was laid down behind a tree stump so only the top of its head was visable but i could see it was a buck and only young so it was ideal for what i wanted. I had my rifle on the long sticks waiting him to get up which he did after about thirty mins giving me a good broardsied shot. On report from my .243 he ran down the bank across then back up the bank covering about thirty yards, then dropped. I walked over to the area encouraging my border to seek him out which she did from about 20 yds away and took me right to the deer. A photo for the PW lads and one for my album and some good eating completed the evening.

stirky
Hi steve, dont think i will be going to pickering, but i am looking foreward to a fishing trip. NTTF, i have used this dog for about four years now and fond it superb, a realy good nose that can smell deer from long distance, although she is a bit keen when she finds them. She will just lay down when we stop and never makes a sound.
