Robertt
Is this reflection of how flat the forum seems presently?
strimmer_13
Pretty much. Mind you I do enjoy going through the older posts, I wasn't a member then. No different than answering one posted today, same as the BBC, repeat the same old **** 😀
Ratlegs
I was told 65 years ago the best way to catch a pigeon was to put salt on it's tail
Harry136
If the bird has its back to me, I shoot at the where I imagine the atlas of the neck is, every shot i've taken and hit there, there has been no residual activity. Upon closer inspection this is due to the spinal cord being servered and removing the brain stem.

I'd say if you can hit that you can hit the head far easier and then not worry about wounding a bird by putting one through it's neck and missing the 5mm wide spinal cord.
