Kenzie
Welldone Frank, You could of used the crow for bait if it wasn't spread over such a large area Nice shooting mate

dunganick
well done frank, good fun isnt it Had a fox the other night at 220 yards witht he .222 (although i swear its closer 240yrds, me and the old man cant agree) certainly the longest shot ive had on a fox, probably only 2nd or 3rd to a couple of 250yrd crows ive had. great fun, although not very financhally effective.... but who cares Edited April 21, 2006 by dunganick

It is fun and a real tester for the rifle. That was some long shot on the fox, well done mate. Im going to try out some American eagle Hp soon, if they are accurate, ill use them for long range bunnys and crows, they are quiet cheap here. Sorry to hear that miffy . Their must be something rong with it. Prehaps all it needs is a good cleaning? Have you checked everything? i.e, screws, muzzle, scope mounts, chember, ect? If you have and cant seem to find whats rong with it, then if you know of a good rifle smith, take it to them and see if they can sort the problem out. If you have and cant seem to find whats rong with it, then if you know of a good rifle smith, take it to them and see if they can sort the problem out. We checked the scope mounts and screw tightness while we were there but they seemed fine. It seems like it is the scope internals moving as the grouping was horrendous. I'm gonna try another scope on it and i have been cleaning the barrel all week with bench rest copper solvent but it has made no difference. We tried it with out the sound mod too but that was even worse. If after i try a new scope its still the same then it will be going to the rifle smith to get sorted, My rifle smith is first class. Its got to go to him anyway as the safety catch is not functioning properly. At least when we shot clays today I've only beat me by 1 I've dont forget to make a much bigger target holder and i will take the damaged one off ure hands with no charge to you for getting rid of the damaged goods

Quote Miffy I've dont forget to make a much bigger target holder and i will take the damaged one off ure hands with no charge to you for getting rid of the damaged goods ................................................................................ .................................... I put a post in the Talk of the Field Section earlier Frank and Miffy Really enjoyed to-day ...Always nice to be in the company of like minded people . The best i managed was 1" group with my own set up :( .............Tried miffys 22/250 with no ear protection For the experience First time I 've shot a .308 and not knowing what to expect I was relaxed with the stock well out of my shoulder :o ...............I had it firmly in the next time as there is some power in this calibre I can tell you Miffy (22/250) I watched that group with the mod off ,It was deffinately worst so i wonder if it was the addition of muzzle flip causing the crossair to dance around even more ................Something is deffinately loose mate Any time on the clays ...........Hows Doveridge sound ..........I'll organise a day so kenzie can have his 3rd round of skeet ...........He was lucky As for the target holder .......1m Sq it is then
Frank
Ok lads, sounds like a good day out. Miffy, what scope and mounts do you have on? If it is the scope and the scope is not a well known one, then you cant go rong with a S & B , with burriss mounts, Let me know how you get on Miffy.
