'Richard Kelly's genre-bending nightmare encourages various interpretations from the viewer, yet refuses easy comprehension' (from the blueray.highdefdigest.com website).......how true is that?! I love the film but everytime I watch it I have a different take on it for some reason, yours?

I like it, but not sure why

Maggie Gyllenhall is in it, I suppose. :good: (yes, I know, not everyone's cuppa)

It's a very weird film, but I suppose it's trying to delve into the depths of a troubled mind.

:good:

Same as that.

That Pans Labrynth (sp) was a belter as well. The old clacker tightened right up on occasions watching that.

Being a bit of a shallow bod (I make rain puddles seem deep) I don't really look too much into further hidden meanings of a film. I watched DD once and enjoyed it - it had some good turns and funny moments, that's enough for me to like something.

I second the Maggie Gyllehhall thing, she is beautiful in a plain, bird next door sort of way (except the bird next door to me is in her 60's and not fancy-able in any sort of way).

Its a brilliant film I love its the music that really makes this film so good although there are some parts of it that I do not get the idea of him being given some time to do the things that he needs to do before passing on or dyeing is good.

But at the end when his mum and sister are in the plain when the engine falls off and kills him but they are still alive at the end. its one of those films that you can watch over and over again.

No point now, though

If you haven't seen the film "Secretary", starring Maggie Gyllenhall... Buy it!! :D

Its on channel 15 now. What a beauty that lady is, I absolutely adore her. Seen her in a few interviews and she seemed very shy and pleasant.

Maggie Gyllenhall, if you're a PW member and you're free tomorrow drop me a PM. I was thinking that after I've done my jobs in the morning you might like to jump in the truck and come and get it MOT'd with me. There's a caff next door to the spanners and they do some great fried food. Afterwards we could head back to my place, let the dogs out and go and crack open a few 25p beers over the field. What you reckon?

Pleased i'm not on my own then, i've watched it a few times now and the conversation afterwards revolves around......'yeah but' or 'what if' or 'no, don't be stupid 'cause.....' and so on

Great film, very atmospheric, draws you in then, at the end, you sit there wondering.......or arguing with who you've just watched it with :good:
